Sr. Engineer (Quantity Surveyor)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for highway projects in compliance with IRC (Indian Roads Congress) and MORT&H (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) guidelines.
  • Perform cost estimation, analysis, and control activities based on detailed design and standard codes.
  • Calculate quantities for highways and structural components of projects, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications.
  • Prepare and review rate analyses, including evaluation of Change of Scope proposals.
  • Review and prepare Schedule-G and Schedule-H documents for NHIDCL, NHAI, Ministry, or PWD-related projects.
  • Verify contractors’/concessionaires’ bills, including adjustments for price variations and other claims.
  • Perform detailed quantity calculations and verifications for various structures based on design drawings.
  • Utilize knowledge of Standard Schedule of Rates to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness in project estimations.


Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Graduate or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in highway project cost estimation.
  • At least 3 years’ experience preparing Bills of Quantities and supervising major highway projects.
  • Strong understanding of estimation methodologies and relevant industry standards.
  • Proficiency in working with IRC and MORT&H guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to review design drawings and perform detailed quantity verification.
  • Proficiency in reviewing contractor’s bills, claims, and price adjustments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills


Preferred Competencies

  • Experience in preparing cost estimates and related documentation for large infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with NHIDCL, NHAI, Ministry, and PWD processes and guidelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of rate analysis and quantity management tools.


Draughtsman (Highways)

  • Create detailed drawings for highway projects, including alignment plans, cross-sections, and profiles.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and standards.

  • Utilize tools like AutoCAD, Bentley OpenRoads, or Civil 3D to produce construction documents.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or ITI in Civil Drafting or Engineering Technology.


Required Experience & Skills:

  • 1–5 years of experience in highway, transportation, or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Expert knowledge of AutoCAD is essential; Civil 3D or Bentley MX Road is often preferred.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering drawing standards, surveying principles, and geometry.

Engineer (Highway Design)

Technical Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare horizontal and vertical alignment designs for highway projects.
  • Pavement design as per IRC guidelines.
  • Develop plan–profile drawings, typical cross-sections, and super elevation details.
  • Estimate earthwork quantities and provide geometric inputs for structures.
  • Design and assess interchange layout options for feasibility.
  • Review technical drawings including GADs, TCS, and drainage plans.

Environment Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Field Surveys & Data Collection:
  • Perform site visits to collect baseline environmental data (air, water, soil, flora, fauna) necessary for the EIA study.
  • Environmental Impact Analysis:
  • Analyze potential environmental impacts of proposed projects (e.g., industrial, infrastructure, mining, real estate) on ecosystems, communities, and resources.
  • Report Preparation:
  • Prepare comprehensive EIA reports including Environmental Management Plans (EMP), mitigation measures, monitoring plans, and executive summaries in compliance with national and international guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure the EIA reports align with the requirements of regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and respective State Pollution Control Boards.
  • Stakeholder Consultation:
  • Facilitate public hearings and stakeholder consultations to incorporate feedback from the community, NGOs, and government agencies into the EIA process.
  • Forest & Wildlife Clearances Support:
  • Assist in preparation of Forest Clearance (FC) and Wildlife Clearance (WL) proposals where applicable, conducting additional studies if needed.
  • Technical & Statistical Analysis:
  • Utilize software tools (e.g., GIS, statistical packages) to analyze spatial and environmental data for impact prediction.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Coordinate with clients, government authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure timely delivery of EIA documentation.
  • Stay Updated on Regulations:
  • Keep abreast of the latest environmental laws, court rulings, and amendments to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Forestry, Ecology, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of environmental clearance projects (EC, FC, WL) and EIA report preparation.
  • Understanding of MoEFCC guidelines, EIA Notification, Forest Conservation Act, Wildlife Protection Act, and relevant state regulations.

 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of environmental monitoring techniques and tools.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with government agencies, consultants, and project teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits.
